A calendar for the october 2023 lakes park fall festival

 Plant & Craft Sales are back October 11th, at the Farmer’s Market!

Come see all of the new plants we propagated this summer and many of our new craft projects. All the profits from these sales are used to enrich your experience at Lakes Park. These sales will continue the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays through April. We now accept credit cards!

National Public Lands Day Celebration
September 23rd

 National Public Lands Day Celebration event that is coming up on 9/23 at Prairie Pines! Offering scavenger hunts, a kids activity tent, guided walks, and more. 


What's Blooming at Lakes Park?

The first picture is of the new planted Jacaranda blooming on Rabbit Island. A good sign that it has taken root and is happy with the location.

Olive Trees Installed!

 Three new 25-gallon black olive trees were planted at the Railroad Museum of South Florida. They are alongside the railroad track. They will eventually provide shade to the train passengers in that area.


Lakes Park Farmers Market Starts October 4th, 2023

OPEN ON WEDNESDAYS!!! The Lakes Park Farmers Market is a true local outdoor market selling local produce, fresh seafood, native plants, cut flowers, artisan foods, organics, and more. Established in 2010 with only 20 vendors, it is now one of the largest markets in Lee County with 50 vendors. Local Roots, LLC, owners of the market has teamed up with the Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation to help raise money and awareness for their Botanical Gardens. The market is open every Wednesday from October through June, 9am – 1pm. We invite shoppers to stay and eat breakfast or lunch at a picnic table while listening to live music each Wednesday enjoying one of the most beautiful parks in Lee County.


Bird Patrol Led Nature Walks
1st Saturday of every month!
Next walk is October, 6th

WHEN: 8 A.M. the FIRST Saturday of every month. Please arrive a few minutes before 8 A.M.
Walks start promptly at 8 A.M.

WHERE: LAKES REGIONAL PARK, 7330 Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers, Fl. 33908

Please meet at Shelter A7. Enter Lakes Park gate from Gladiolus. Turn right. Drive to end of road, continue through the parking lot. Shelter A7 is located near the Train Station. 

INFORMATION: Call (239)533-7275 

Please wear comfortable shoes and dress to be outside. Bring water, sunscreen and binoculars.
